パッソ地域は、ヴェネト州ポーデルタ自然公園の中心部にあるパポッツェ（RO）の自治体に位置する、川沿いの歴史的な地域です。その名前は、パポッツェとセッラヴァッレ（フェラーラ県ベッラ地区）を結んでいた古い渡し船（前世紀の70年代）に由来しています。最後の渡し守はジャコモ・フゼッティ（“ピピオ”と呼ばれた）で、彼は何十年にもわたり、当時の渡し船組合と競合しながら、小さな手漕ぎボートで船頭の仕事をしていました。毎年8月15日には、ポー川の水への伝統的な祝福がここで行われます。
