The Sentina regional nature reserve is a protected area located at the mouth of the Tronto river. It has great environmental value due to the presence of unique environments such as sandy cordons, wetlands behind the dunes and brackish meadows. It can be visited on foot or by bicycle, following the paths and wooden walkways that cross it.

The village of Spinetoli is located on a hill north of the lower valley of the Tronto river. Its name comes from the Latin and means hedge or scrub.
