Amalfi Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea, houses not only precious relics but also stories steeped in legend. It is said that in 1218 Saint Francis of Assisi came here to pay homage to the apostle and his relics. The charm of the place won him over to the point of remaining in Amalfi for two years.
