ニシダはフレグライ諸島に属する小さな火山島です。1936年頃に建設された長いコンクリート桟橋によって本土（バニョーリ/コロリオ地区）と結ばれています。現在、島には少年院と軍事施設があるため、一般には自由に立ち入ることはできません。その名前は「小さな島」を意味するギリシャ語のNisìdesに由来しています。
