The accompanying text states: "Over seven thousand round towers made of massive stone blocks are scattered throughout Sardinia. Often, only the stumps of these megalithic structures, called nuraghi, remain. The first ones were built around 1400 BC. Small stones were placed between the massive blocks, a construction method that made the stone towers virtually collapse-proof." One of the highest peaks in the Orgosolo area (1380 m), with a spectacular view. This area, managed by the Forestry Authority, is generally closed to the public, I do not know if for wildlife repopulation or something else.
