The St. Jürgen Church in Nordhackstedt is a simple Romanesque stone building from the 12th century. The granite baptismal font also dates from this period. In 1897, the single-nave church interior with a rectangular chancel was extended to the west and a tower was added. The wide Gothic chancel arch is decorated with late Gothic paintings. You can see red tendrils with dotted rosettes, including a depiction of the Last Supper in rectangular fields on the northern arch reveal and the Fall of Man on the southern side.
