Beautiful castle/fortress, in fair condition, to be admired from all positions (the view from the motorway overpass is very beautiful).

This trail has two entrances and a slight elevation gain. If you arrive in San Grato and drive up, the hike takes just over an hour, and the chestnut tree is located along the way and is clearly visible.

A bike path connecting Chieri to Riva, winding through the countryside with beautiful views of the Turin hills. Two drinking fountains along the route. Halfway along, a gravel path leads to the bike path from Chieri to Pessione.

It is an easy route with a slight difference in altitude, therefore suitable for everyone, there are few cars and a beautiful view especially in the part bordering the hills of Asti.

More properly "Castello de La Rotta". A twelfth-century castle, later remodeled, now private and used as a residence. It is visible from the outside, and makes a great impression. From the highway overpass you have a fantastic view. In theory the road to get there is private, but I think that the access ban is mainly for cars - while I was under the castle admiring it, two cars of residents of the village just beyond passed by, and no one said anything to me. Easily reachable from Carignano on roads with little traffic, it is a little more daunting to get there from the east, because you have to go through the provincial Moncalieri-Villastellone which is quite busy.

Interesting castle

Nice stretch of dedicated cycle path that leads from Mulino della Torre (Riva) to Chieri. On the Riva side, you reach the start of the cycle path via a secondary road with very little traffic; Chieri side, you connect to the city's excellent cycle network. Water points at the Mulino della Torre and at the opposite end. You ride on excellent asphalt immersed in the countryside. Beautiful ride. NOTE: the official toponymy indicates it as: Cycle path "Arrobio, Piovano, Vergnano"
