The road that draws an "S" on the dam is very scenic. All that remains is to tackle the last hairpin bends to the top and then enjoy the most beautiful view of the Alps and perhaps the world...

In reality, this place is not so "flat" because, from when the slopes become less steep to when the descent begins, there will not even be a hundred meters ... but the environment is superb, high mountain, and makes up for the road that, especially towards Frassinetto, is not in such good condition. There is nothing, not a bar, not a fountain ... but it is worth stopping and admiring the splendid panorama. Going up from Frassinetto the slope, after the village, becomes discontinuous and challenging, more gradual if you go up from Colleretto Castelnuovo, where the road alternates beautiful hairpin bends in the woods ... however, it is not a gift from this side either!

Leaving aside the chaos of the center, it is a pleasant city, rich in history and ideas for trekking and/or cycling.

In winter the final stretch is almost always in the shade so the temperature is often close to zero or below zero, so equip yourself well for the cold....

The climb of Colle del Nivolet is among the most exciting and fascinating of the Piedmont Alps, I always recommend Alba and Tramonti when the light transforms the landscape into pure magic!

It is the main town of the Orco Valley. It is a small town with an interesting historical center. From here up, the road does not stop climbing.

Road along which the Giro d'Italia traveled when it arrived at Lake Serrú. The beginning is closed to car traffic by a barrier, but it can be easily overcome by bicycle. From here to Ceserole Reale there is a very hard stretch with continuous horseshoe curves, some small galleries, a beautiful torrent of water and a road with asphalt in perfect condition.
