The climb of Colle del Nivolet is among the most exciting and fascinating of the Piedmont Alps, I always recommend Alba and Tramonti when the light transforms the landscape into pure magic!

It is the main town of the Orco Valley. It is a small town with an interesting historical center. From here up, the road does not stop climbing.

The Ceserole Reale lake is spectacular and a suitable place to have a drink and enjoy the high mountain landscape. The 3 times I have visited the Nivolet, I have stopped at a bar in Ceserole to enjoy the moment.

This is where the hard area of the Colle del Nivolet begins. It is a mountain town in the Orc Valley, which has a very pretty fountain next to a bridge over the river. It's worth stopping to take a breather and regroup. Right at the exit of the town, the first horseshoes and ramps above 10%. The Nivolet show begins!!!

Lake Agnel is part of a wonderful alpine environment, possibly the most beautiful and spectacular thing I have seen in the Alps. As soon as you leave behind Lake Serrú, an artificial dam, you reach this natural lake after a short descent. Leaving it behind in the direction of the Colle del Nivolet, the views from above are great. Beauty cannot be seen in photos nor described in words... you have to feel it arriving there by bicycle.

Pont Canavese is located like an enchanted village at the foot of the mountains, located between the Soana valley and the Orco valley. Its towers and stone houses clearly convey its medieval past. Right below this suggestive location stands the hermitage of Santa Maria in Doblazio, an ancient parish church that dates back to around the year one thousand, giving an aura of antiquity to the village.

Going up towards Nivolet, you can stop at a highly panoramic point where you can photograph the lakes.
