On the Schaffhausen side, there are two kilometers of gravel road, but it's easy to ride on a road bike. The gravel also has a fairly flat gradient, so going downhill isn't a problem either.

The wide Klettgau valley is wonderful to cycle on this quiet, flat cycle path.

Nice cycleway following along the Wutach river and always surrounded by fields and forests. The cycleway has no traffic with the exception of when passing through the smaller villages. The cycleway is very suitable for a road bike.

The Cycleway for the most part is on good smooth pavement, however the stretch of cycleway from Stühlingen to Eberfingen does have a few cosmetic rough spots.

Best value for money you can find. Great support and staff.

A magnificent descent from the Randen in Canton Schaffhausen. The asphalt is excellent with no holes or bumps, one can get a lot of speed going on this steep descent ranging from 5-12%. Be careful as there are automobiles that do come up the road and some of the curves it is no possible to see around them.

The climb from Oberhallau is a very nice easy climb of an average of 5%, with a short section at the top of 8%. The asphalt pavement is in excellent condition. The descent from Hinterer Berghof to Schleitheim is also a very beautiful smooth asphalt pavement with some sections being a -7%. It offers great views of The Valley below and into Stühlingen across the border into Germany before arriving in Schleitheim, the last village before the German border. If you are headed to Germany take advantage of the fountain in Schleitheim to fill up your water bottles before entering into Germany where public drinking water fountains are scarce.

This part of the road is hard packed gravel and it is also suitable for roadbike when climbing, the decent one might want to go a little bit slower until one is back on the asphalted pavement.
