First stretch of the very scenic road that connects Bosa to Montresta

A town of about 2,500 inhabitants in the province of Oristano, Cuglieri stands on the ruins of the Phoenician-Punic city of Cornus and is today well known for the production of high quality olive oil. Of particular beauty in the municipal territory is the Cabu Nieddu waterfall, at the end of which the water ends up directly in the sea.

The patronage of Saint Leonhard (San LEONARDO) in the town of San Leonardo de Siete Fuentes refers to the farming tradition of this area. Among the many "responsibilities" of the saints, for which they are then invoked as patron saints, Saint Leonhard is initially for those who are "in chains", and later in the 18th century mainly for livestock. In many places where he is venerated, the Leonhardis ride, a procession on horseback, is a tradition. So it is probably no coincidence that the most important horse show in Sardinia is held here.
