To reach the Bidet della Contessa, start from the village of San Martino, following a flat and well-marked path that crosses woods and meadows, along the Mello stream. After about 30 minutes of walking, you arrive at this enchanting pool, ideal for a regenerating break immersed in nature. The Val di Mello, known as the "little Italian Yosemite", is a nature reserve that offers numerous hiking trails suitable for all levels, with breathtaking views of waterfalls, streams and unique rock formations. The Bidet della Contessa represents one of the most fascinating stops in this valley, attracting hikers, families and photography enthusiasts for its fairy-tale atmosphere and the purity of its waters.

I've been there and the colors reflected in the lake were fantastic. To reach it, an ultra-easy flat walk.

Beautiful cycle path, almost entirely flat apart from a few short climbs between Chiavenna and the CH border (for those traveling north). Good places to eat near the lakes and from Chiavenna to Switzerland. Worth noting is the lack of shade (especially in summer) in the central part of the route.
