Suggestive place, excellent starting point for trekking but also a nice place to stop for picnics or other!

Prato Valentino is at the top of a beautiful climb from Teglio with a good road surface and is located in a panoramic point where there is also a hut where you can stop and eat.

The Cristina refuge in Val Belviso (not to be confused with the Cristina refuge in Valmalenco) awaits you in the splendid setting of the Orobie Alps. Here you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain views and savor the typical dishes of the Valtellina area. The refuge has 30 beds, 50 places for lunch, a large covered outdoor terrace and a garden with deckchairs and tables. It cannot be reached directly by car, but after a walk of about 5 kilometers.

The flat pass of Colle d'Anzana offers a fantastic panorama and marks the border between Switzerland and Italy, uniting Valposchiavo with Teglio in Valtellina. It is one of the easiest steps to pass from Italy to Switzerland and has therefore always been linked to smuggling. During the Second World War, it was one of the most frequent escape routes chosen by Jews fleeing from Italy.
