アジアーゴのミリタリー記念館（Sacrario militare di Asiago）、別名ロイテン記念館（Sacrario del Leiten）は、第一次世界大戦で戦死した兵士たちを追悼するため、同名の丘の上に荘厳にそびえ立っています。1936年に落成したこの印象的な白い大理石の建造物は、高さ20メートルの象徴的な四面凱旋門が特徴で、セッテ・コムーニ高原全体を見渡しています。四角い基部の中には、イタリア軍とオーストリア＝ハンガリー軍の両方に属する54,000人以上の兵士の遺骨が、多くは身元不明のまま、密集した地下通路に安置されています。追悼の機能に加え、この場所には当時の遺物や文書が豊富な戦争博物館が収蔵されています。静寂の空間を巡ることは、人間の犠牲とアルプス戦線の歴史について深く考えさせ、この記念碑を愛国心の象徴であるだけでなく、未来の世代に向けた平和の厳粛な警告としています。
