Simple and educational trail. The solar system is shown along the path at a scale of 1/1 billion. It was carried out by the staff of the Asiago astrophysical observatory. Lake Lavarone, Blue Flag, is located at 1,079 m above sea level. and, with a surface area of 64,000 m², it reaches a maximum depth of 17 metres. Immersed in the nature of the Lavarone plateau, this bathing lake is a much loved destination for both athletes and those looking for relaxation. On its banks there are two equipped beaches where it is possible to swim.

Historic and characteristic bridge on the provincial road that connects Roana with Canove and, therefore, with Asiago

A bold bridge built in the early 1900s to connect Roana to Canove and the rest of the plateau, spanning the deep Val d'Assa. Before that, the only way was up and down the gorge via the old Strada della Sbarra (now a dirt hiking trail closed to traffic). Inaugurated in 1906, it was constructed with two lateral stone pillars supporting a large steel lattice girder. During the First World War, in May 1916, it was blown up by the Italian army to block the advance of the Austro-Hungarian Strafexpedition, after having carried the last rearguards and refugees from Roana-Mezzaselva-Rotzo. After the war, it was rebuilt with three concrete arches, as we see it today. 135 meters long and 80 meters high. There's a steep path on the Roana side that leads to the valley floor and continues under the bridge: from there, the view is impressive, and you truly realize its height and boldness!
