An interesting gateway along the ancient Castroreale-Mandanici cattle track where it overlaps with the Peloritani mountain range. The annual pilgrimages to the Sanctuary of Tindari, which are made in a variety of ways (on foot, by bike, on horseback), all pass through this gateway. Over the years, devout believers have erected votive icons, each representing their Ionian hometown, making the whole experience unique and a delight to see.

Taormina Giardino train station is one of the most beautiful train stations in Italy.

From here you have a privileged view of Isola Bella, a rocky islet at the foot of Taormina connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand. A ticket is required to visit. Excellent place to camp, with equipped area and running water.

Old building, and the ticket office and waiting rooms are still in the old style, especially the ornate old ceilings - great!
