In the very heart of Zagreb is one of the smaller, but also more pleasant equestrian clubs in the area – the Jarun Equestrian Club. Founded in 2006 with the idea of promoting the popularity of equestrian sports, it has become famous for the excellent results achieved by its members in equestrian competitions. Of course, there is also a riding school here – for both adults and children, and you can also train to become a riding coach. In addition, it is a real attraction of Jarun, as many visitors and recreational cyclists who cycle around the lake often stop to admire the horses of this club.

In summer, go to early ride. Later, Jarun is crowded with people, children and pets.

I was there last time in November 2024. Litter was everywhere – on the shoulder of the road, on the trees, in the bushes. There were also a few illegal garbage dumps just next to the road and two packs of aggressive stray dogs. So unfortunately, this beautiful road is no longer beautiful. It’s actually a rather sad and grim place now. Don't know maybe they cleaned it up already, but it was like that in autumn 2024

A new-looking bridge. There are two options to cross: either via a walkway (it's narrow and separated from the bridge, but has decent surface, not for acrophobes, though) or along the main road (not too wide as well, but not so scary). As of April, 2025, the construction of pipelines is underway, so the walkway may be unavailable on workdays, be advised.
