The Church of Santa Reparata was built on the site of a Roman settlement as early as the fourth century. Parts of the ancient church were rediscovered during excavations. After several renovations, the present church was built over the previous structure in the 12th century. The Church of Santi Giovanni e Reparata acquired its current appearance in the 16th century. The church has a uniquely designed ceiling. You can climb the bell tower and enjoy a good panoramic view, and above all, a great photo spot of the cathedral. Beneath the church, you can see ruins from the Roman and early Christian periods. But I think the €10 entrance fee is a bit steep.
