Cinisi: a Sicilian treasure to discover by bicycle Cycling through the streets of Cinisi, you will immerse yourself in a vortex of history, culture and nature that will leave its mark. The historic center, with its winding alleys and ancient houses, will tell you stories of pirates, Normans and the legendary Peppino Impastato. But Cinisi is not just history. Its uncontaminated territory offers breathtaking landscapes that follow one after the other: from the Zingaro Nature Reserve, with its turquoise coves and fragrant Mediterranean scrub, to the golden countryside dotted with olive and almond trees. Get on your bike and let the sea breeze guide you towards the Tonnara di Scopello, an industrial monument of industrial archeology immersed in a postcard panorama. Then continue towards the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve, where dirt paths will lead you to discover sea caves and wild stacks. Cinisi is a place you love slowly, pedal after pedal. A place where time seems to have stopped and where the only noise is that of the wind in your hair and the waves crashing on the coast.

Terrasini is a beautiful town with such a romantic atmosphere that it is nicknamed the “city of love”. It attracts travelers with its beaches, notably Cala Rossa, a natural bay with spectacular colors. For a dive into the art and history of Sicily, visit the museum located in the city center.

Borgo dei Parrini is a small rural hamlet located within the municipality of Partinico (PA) in Sicily, Italy. Founded by the Jesuit fathers in the 17th century, from which it takes its name (in Sicilian, parrini means 'fathers'/'priests'). The recent intervention of a local entrepreneur has transformed the small agricultural village, partly decadent, into a corner with eccentric houses vaguely inspired by the style of Antoni Gaudí. This intervention has been arousing growing tourist interest in recent years. Source: wikipedia

Borgo dei Parrini was born in the early 1600s, when the priests of the Society of Jesus, called "parrini" in Sicilian dialect, decided to buy land near Partinico. At the beginning of the 1700s, the Jesuits built watchtowers, warehouses, houses and a small church dedicated to Maria Santissima del Rosario. The Jesuit Order was suppressed and the property passed to the French prince Henri d'Orléans. After World War II, the local population moved to the cities, and as a result the village remained abandoned. The degradation that took place lasted until the end of the nineties, when, on the initiative of the entrepreneur Giuseppe Gaglio, an "original" recovery slowly got under way which involved the small village.
