The Valchiavenna cycle path is a fascinating 40 km route that goes from Colico to the Swiss border (Val Bregaglia), passing through suggestive places such as Chiavenna, Piuro with its archaeological excavations, the Acquafraggia waterfalls and the Palazzo Vertemate Franchi. The route reflects the fusion of two cultures, offering a Central European atmosphere. In 2022, the Valchiavenna Cycle Path won 3rd prize at the Italian Green Road Awards.

Beautiful cycle path, almost entirely flat apart from a few short climbs between Chiavenna and the CH border (for those traveling north). Good places to eat near the lakes and from Chiavenna to Switzerland. Worth noting is the lack of shade (especially in summer) in the central part of the route.

Monte Berlinghera is one of the mountains that offers the best view of Lake Como, with a not too demanding walk or run you can enjoy this amazing view.
