A forest rich in history, the site of peasant conflicts between the Bernaldesi and Montesi peoples and the two affected municipalities. The Bufalara Forest is accessible by mountain bike, gravel bike, and e-MTB thanks to the clearing of old existing trails built by farmers, bandits, hunters, and game hunters.

Located between Bernalda and its hamlet Metaponto, the archaeological area of San Biagio is not far from the SS 407 Basentana and easily accessible by bicycle. You can find there, among other things, an ancient chapel that stands on the remains of an older building or settlement.

Municipality in the Basento valley of around 12,000 inhabitants, Bernalda boasts a characteristic historic center which stands on a plateau sloping towards the sea. From here it is splendid to observe the Ionian Sea and the hamlet of Metaponto. Also of particular beauty are the church of San Bernardino and the castle of Bernalda, probably built by the Normans.

Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the town of Pomarico which stands out from its height.

Here you find yourself immersed in nature, on the banks of a small but suggestive lake.
