The last 500 meters or so before the finish seemed very dangerous to my wife. You're walking over scree on a very steep slope. She's not quite up there with my 10-year-old son. My 12-year-old daughter and I are up high. We can walk very safely over this kind of terrain.

The ridge path on Monte Berlinghera is rightly classified as T5. It is not always clear which side of the ridge the path leads on. Pizzo Stella is 3,163 m high, it is the most famous peak in the Spluga valley even if not the highest.

A greeting to dear Andrea (the Innkeeper) is a must if you pass by here. He will know how to properly refresh you after the fatigue of the climb! Fresh beer for everyone!!!!!

The path that leads to Sasso Canale is not very simple but it is a gift of those views that will be remembered for life.
