6月 6, 2025, Ingresso del Castello di Malgrate
Medieval Castle of 1351. The fortification, which controlled the most important communication routes coming from the Apennines, Cisa and Garfagnana, developed in the 14th century (but its origins are probably older) and on its tower, 25 meters high and crowned by a corbeled patrol embossment, the flag of the Malaspina marquises flew until the 17th century. In addition to performing defensive functions, the castle became a noble residence in 1641, when the central body was transformed into a palace, incorporating the round tower. Despite this, the appearance of Malgrate is that of a classic medieval fortress: the main body is made up of the keep, located on the short side of the rectangular feudal palace and surrounded by walls, equipped with Guelph battlements, slopes and a patrol walkway that seems to date back to the 14th century.

6月 6, 2025, Ponte della Cresa
The Ponte della Cresa is a stone bridge built in the 14th century and despite the frequent flooding of the Verde river, it has maintained its original structure to this day. The bridge connects the new neighborhoods with the historic center. The bridge is located along the Verde river near Porta San Francesco. Under the arch of this bridge, on January 31, the characteristic fire of San Geminiano takes place. The Ponte della Cresa is considered by many to be the true symbol of the city of Pontremoli. It is also interesting to note that the name Pontremoli derives from the Latin 'Pons Tremulus', which means 'unsafe bridge'. This was a term used to describe the original conurbation of the city.

Caffè degli Svizzeri F.lli Aichta the most famous café in the city, where you can't miss trying the "amor", the typical sweets made of two wafers with lots of delicious cream in the middle, whose recipe is a secret that every Pontremolese pastry shop has been handing down for years. the "Campanone" among the numerous towers that form the profile of Pontremoli is the most imposing. The Campanone was in fact one of the three towers of the so-called Cacciaguerra fortress, a sort of curtain that cut Pontremoli in two, from river to river. The construction of this barrier, wanted by Castruccio Castracani in 1322, was necessary to calm the violent struggles between Guelphs and Ghibellines, which in the 14th century also involved Pontremoli. The separation between the two parts of Pontremoli was so clear that the two areas had taken on a specific name: Imoborgo the southern one and Sommoborgo the northern one, each with its own square (the current Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica).

The Pieve di Santo Stefano di Sorano is one of the most important Romanesque churches in the province of Massa-Carrara, located in Filattiera. The church was built between the 11th and 12th centuries and is an example of impressive Romanesque architecture with its imposing three-apse layout and the use of rough stones from the river Magra. The church stands at a strategic point along the Via Francigena, a historic pilgrimage route to Rome. The area has a rich history dating back to Roman times and the Byzantine period3.

The Ponte del Giubileo, also known as the Ponte Cesare Battisti, is a historic bridge in Pontremoli. The bridge has considerable historical significance and was originally made of wood. It was built in the 14th century. During the Nazi occupation in 1945, the bridge was destroyed. After the destruction, it was replaced by a structure of concrete and iron. In 2000, the bridge was rebuilt, faithful to the original design, and re-inaugurated.

9月 13, 2024, Torre di busticca,
The Torre di Busticca, also known as the Torre di Castelnuovo, is an impressive medieval tower in Pontremoli. Built in the 14th century, this square tower was part of the city's defensive works, together with the Piagnaro Castle and the Seratti Tower12. Situated on the left bank of the Magra River, next to the Nostra Donna Oratory, the tower offers a beautiful example of Gothic architecture with its preserved arch. Although it is now a private residence, the tower remains an important historical monument in the region.

Campanone is a term used in Pontremoli to refer to a medieval tower, the only remaining part of a medieval fortress called Fortezza di Cazzaguerra. The tower was built in 1322. Its purpose was to keep the Guelph and Ghibelline factions of the city separated. The central tower was equipped from the beginning with a bell to warn the citizens of possible dangers. Only later was the tower raised and the actual bell tower built.
