Strandvejen is a 38 km long road that begins at Svanemøllen Station in Østerbro in Copenhagen, an extension of Østerbrogade, and runs along the east coast of Zealand to Helsingør. There is space for cyclists, walkers and runners with views of the Øresund Strait.

At Esrum Kloster you will find various exhibitions about the Cistercian order and the powerful status of the abbey during the Middle Ages. There is also a café, an abbey shop and a watermill.

An iconic beach and pier, where people are present all year round. However, it's especially worth stopping for a swim during the warmer months, when it's also very crowded.

Nice sandy beach, perfect for swimming and easily accessible from Copenhagen. Can be quite crowded on sunny days and in the weekend.

Nice hill with around 5% gradient.

Nice swinging downhill, watch out for confused pedestrians in the bike path.

When the weather is nice you can take great photos here, but I wasn't lucky with the weather.

The whole stretch along the Øresund is why the strandvejen is such a nice place to cycle. Say hello to Knud here!
