A very nice moderately difficult climb. Good surface and consistently beautiful views.

A wonderful ascent! The narrow, well-paved road winds its way ever up the mountain. From S. Leonhard to Platt, there's hardly any traffic due to the narrow road. Much of the route is shaded.

The first climb to the Timmelsjoch, after the village of Moos, was the most strenuous for me – hang in there! After that, it gets "easier," and there's time to catch your breath before the final bends demand all your energy. All the effort is rewarded with an incredible view!

My highlight every time at the start of the season and again at the end in October. The Mendel Pass, with its 5-8% gradient, is relatively easy to ride, and every hairpin bend is really fun. If you set off as early as possible, you'll practically have the route to yourself – without Porsche drivers and Kawasakis 😉 The descent is just as fun. You can easily reach speeds of 60 km/h and more 🚴
