Climbing this peak in winter is a small undertaking, as reaching it involves a 25- to 30-kilometer round trip and about 1,000 meters of elevation gain, starting from Campomulo (Gallio cross-country skiing center). Once you've conquered it, however, it fills your heart and mind.

Cima della Caldiera is one of the highest peaks of the Asiago plateau 2124 meters. It is known for the war events of the Great War: from here the attack on the Austrian positions on Ortigara started.
