Great old cutter in the port of Desenzano.

Here in the "Porto Vecchio" harbor of Desenzano del Garda, near the small bridge, lies a beautiful old cutter/ship. A wonderful sight, a great photo opportunity...

The military harbor of Peschiera had to be deepened by over 2 m in 1861 to accommodate a newly built gunboat for the Garda flotilla. When digging with a so-called paternoster excavator north of the Querini Bastion, numerous bronze objects were unearthed. Desenzano del Garda is a worthwhile destination on a tour. Quiet, beautiful town with a great promenade and some other sights.

One of the three things to do in Peschiera is to admire the Venetian walls. They are part of the Venetian defensive bulwarks of the 16th century. and XVII.
