Prato Barbieri (Bettola) is, in fact, the place that acts as a watershed between Val Nure and Val D'Arda. Its strategic position, in fact, can be reached from 3 different sides: Bettola, Gropparello and Morfasso, makes it a very popular destination for cycling enthusiasts and motorcyclists.

First of all, it's not true that you can't see anything since it's panoramic when going down one side or the other. Secondly, it divides the Ceno valley into the municipality of Bardi (not Barci) with that of Farini, and not Ferriere. At least inform yourself before writing 🤣

A climb immersed in the greenery of the Parma Apennines, the Montevacca pass (or Monte Vacà) was tackled by the Giro Donne in 2023. It has no impossible slopes and the asphalt is in excellent condition. On the brow, a plaque commemorates the so-called "beffa di Tasola", a victorious episode of the partisan Resistance in the area.

Apennine pass on a very good asphalted road, leads north of the Aveto. It can be reached from the nearby Zovallo from the Nure valley. From here you can turn west and reach S. Stefano or east and reach the Taro valley.

Tomarlo is a real crossroads. In fact, near the summit there are four roads coming from Ferriere (north side), Ponteceno (east side), Santo Stefano d'Aveto (west side) and Passo del Chiodo (south side). The latter is a beautiful road that remains on the coast.
