Downstream from San Martino in Pedriolo, keep the trail towards Via Riniera or ford towards the left side of the river where possible (easy in summer).

Church of Santa Maria di Settefonti: The first list of the county which counts 84 "fumanti", or families, dates back to 1249, but the Castle of "Stifunti" (which owes its name to the presence of 7 springs), which later became the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, is earlier than 1105, as demonstrated by the pre-existing structure still visible.

Unfortunately today 28-10-2024 the little bridge is completely destroyed by the fall of a tree after the last floods of the Sellustra torrent

I retraced the road downhill today, and found it almost impassable compared to the last time I rode it; in the lower part the rains and the lack of maintenance have washed away the path, creating huge ruts, sometimes over a meter wide. Vegetation is also taking over and in some places the road is completely hidden by large reeds. I still managed to ride it downhill, but with great care and often getting off the saddle
