Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN), also known as "Konrad Adenauer," looks back on over 75 years of history in civil aviation. It has developed from a military base into one of Germany's most important logistics and passenger hubs.

From the Lüderich hill, which rises to around 260 meters, the view stretches far across the Bergisches Land region. To the west, the landscape opens up towards the Cologne Lowland, where the hills gradually give way to flatter terrain. On clear days, you can even see the Cologne Cathedral. Traces of the mining that once took place around the Lüderich are still visible.

The hut is ideal for a short break – especially on longer circular tours through the eastern part of the Königsforst.

The summit is located in a quiet, wooded area and is rather unspectacularly marked – but there is a bench for a short break, and the surroundings invite you to linger.

The views are not spectacularly open, but they do offer small, charming panoramas between the trees – especially in autumn or when the sun is low in the sky.

The view from the Tütberg, which at 212 meters is the highest elevation in the Königsforst forest, offers a beautiful panoramic view over the Bergisches Land region on a clear day. The view towards Bensberg Castle and the surrounding hills is particularly impressive.
