The "Ruve du Megu" is a monumental oak tree considered the largest in Europe: it is approximately 350-370 years old, reaches 28-30 meters in height, and its trunk has a circumference of over 420 cm. Its name derives from the "megu," the Borgomaro doctor who once owned the tree. The tree, well-marked and easily accessible, is a unique natural spectacle and represents a true living monument to the area.

An ancient village above the town of San Lazzaro Reale, connected by a beautiful medieval double-arched bridge. The village, now completely uninhabited, was once wealthy, as evidenced by the numerous houses, the church, and several busts of illustrious figures. Now, the only way to get there is by mule track, either by bicycle or on foot. Definitely worth a visit! The medieval bridge of San Lazzaro Reale, in the province of Imperia, is a Romanesque structure dating back to the late 15th century. This two-span bridge, located over the Impero stream, is one of the most beautiful bridges in western Liguria. It was an integral part of the ancient mule track, crucial for connecting the coast of Oneglia with the inland valleys of the Maro and Impero rivers, as well as Piedmont. The Case Molini houses were therefore located along this important communication route.

ancient village now semi-abandoned just above S.Lazzaro Reale. It is accessed from the bridge over the empire by a mule track that is initially steep but quickly leads to the town. Beautiful in its total absence of inhabitants, with a wonderful little church that still resists. Only a few foreigners still have a house there, but for the rest, nothing. Once you reach the road, you rejoin the provincial road that leads to Lucinasco. Worth a visit and lots of photographs!

The distinctive feature of the town is the bell tower. Built to be self-supporting, it stands out over the valley visible from every side and is the pride of the town itself. The baptistery in front, recently restored, is no less and harmoniously composes a splendid square!
