Imperia Porto Maurizio railway station was one of two railway stations serving the city and commune of Imperia, in Liguria, northwestern Italy. It opened in 1872 and closed in December 2016. The railway tracks, converted into a cycle path, allow you to cross the city via tunnels. (Equip yourself with lights for safety). You can stop at the station bar to recharge your batteries.

Scalo 4 is a great stop along the cycle path between Imperia and Ospedaletti, ideal for cyclists. It offers breakfast and lunch, with simple dishes such as grilled fish and vegetables, as well as homemade desserts. The atmosphere is informal, with the possibility of sitting on comfortable sofas in the shade. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. A good place for a break during a bike ride.
