Beautiful village with a lot of history

An impressive entrance gate. The train ride appears to be no longer in use. It's a shame, perhaps it's no longer maintained.

These allegorical figures, which come from the hand of Pirro Ligorio, the architect of the Sacred Wood of Bomarzo, are what remains, together with the Benches of the Four Seasons, of the Fonte Orsina complex built in the eastern part of Penna by Maerbale Orsini in 1550.

Amelia is a city of Etruscan and Roman origins, located on a hill between the Tiber and Nera rivers. The polygonal walls are among the oldest in Italy and in the Archaeological Museum you can admire the bronze statue of Germanicus.

Penna in Teverina in the province of Terni, is located on a hill overlooking the Tiber valley. The name derives from the Latin "pinna", which means top or crown. Excellent place to look for a trattoria to stop for lunch.

Soriano nel Cimino is a small village on the slopes of Monte Cimino. The Orsini Castle dominates the panorama, and is surrounded by chestnut, beech and oak woods around it.
