The Protestant church in Epfenbach is the town's Reformed/Protestant parish church and belongs to the Kraichgau deanery of the Evangelical Church in Baden. It is considered the oldest church in Epfenbach and was rebuilt in 1836 according to the plans of architect Heinrich Hübsch, after an older predecessor building was demolished. The church does not have a specific patron saint or proper name such as "St. ...", but is simply referred to as the Protestant Church of Epfenbach.

The original stone bridge, a successor to various wooden bridges, was built in the 1780s. Unfortunately, it was blown up in the last days of the Second World War. However, the citizens of Heidelberg collected donations and the bridge was rebuilt in 1946/47. It connects the old town of Heidelberg with the district of Neuenheim.
