The Lake Pignola cycling and walking path winds along the entire shoreline, offering a flat route perfect for families and cyclists of all ages. Along the route, a WWF-managed reserve enriches the experience with nature, wildlife, and tranquil landscapes. There are several places to rent bicycles or tandems, making the visit easy and accessible even without your own bike.

This small lake basin is a regional nature reserve. The reserve was established in the 1980s as a wetland of international interest and is currently managed by the WWF through a local association. There is a cycle/pedestrian path that allows you to go around the lake completely, admire the animals that populate the area and immerse yourself in nature.

The Church of Santissima Maria Regina in Cielo is located in the new village. Erected by the Reform Institution, it was inaugurated for religious celebrations in 1962.

The Roman villa of San Giovanni di Ruoti is an archaeological site of historical importance. Excavated between 1977 and 1984 by Canadian archaeologists, it revealed finds from the 1st to 6th centuries AD. The site has shown different evolutionary phases, from simple industrial plants to defensive structures. The finds are preserved in the archaeological museum of Muro Lucano.

Possidente is a fraction of Avigliano. It is an excellent starting point for trips north of Potenza thanks to the presence of the train station.

Avigliano, known as a city thanks to a 1991 decree, boasts a mountainous landscape with mountains such as Monte Caruso and Monte Carmine. The origin of the name could derive from "avis locum" or "locum avellani". The city is enriched by religious architecture such as the Basilica of Santa Maria del Carmine and the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli.

Pietragalla, a small town known for its "Palmenti" or "rutte", cave cellars dug into the rock, preserves thousand-year-old stories. You walk through the alleys of the medieval village, guided by the bell tower of San Nicola di Bari and the Palazzo Ducale. Local history tells of the French influence and heroism during the Brigandage. Nearby, the ancient settlement on Monte Torretta reveals precious archaeological remains.
