Cool route with no traffic. Nice gravel section. I've also ridden along it on a road bike. I recommend 32-inch tires, though. 😅

The Piazzetta Martiri delle Foibe is the first panoramic view of Ostuni's old town when traveling south along Corso Vittorio Emanuele from Lecce. It's a simple spot where you can enjoy a beautiful view that extends from the town of Ostuni to the sea. It's a great place for a break, whether on foot or by bike, as it's served by a nearby fountain from the Apulian aqueduct.

A church dating back to 1304, built by the Conventual Fathers Minor, who cared for it for over five centuries, the church of San Francesco, following the first suppression of the religious orders, was handed over to the Archconfraternity of the Immaculate Conception, which still manages it today.

It is located in Piazza Giacomo Matteotti. Monument in memory of the Fallen of Ostuni in the First World War. It was designed by the engineer Carlo Rodio and was built by the stonemason Angelo Antelmi. The designer of the work was inspired by the Brindisi Roman Terminal Column of the Appian Way, equalizing the proportional relationships between the base and the load-bearing element. In the upper part of the monument a golden eagle is depicted about to take flight. The commemorative slabs are surrounded by oak and laurel leaves.
