the ionian-salentine coast road, from taranto, to be traveled in all seasons. in summer traffic can be a problem for cyclists and hikers.

Great coastal road with some very good and some very bad asphalt and the further you get from Taranto, the quieter the traffic becomes, at least in winter. The route is a lot of fun and also offers a few meters of elevation.

The asphalt of the coastal road is in very bad condition in places and you have to keep a close eye on it to avoid ending up in a pothole, but it's still fun, especially because there is almost no traffic, at least in winter. Short sections have been given new asphalt 👍
