The climb begins in the heart of the city and climbs steeply, but never exceeding 10%. Once you leave the town, the landscape becomes very beautiful. Now that I've ridden it several times, I've noticed that there are sections with gradients exceeding 10%, especially in the second section after crossing the main road, seen from Santa Cesarea Terme.

Scenic like few others, it can be admired in the center of a crossroads on the edge of the village of Ortelle. It would not look out of place (with a pinch of honest but fair exaggeration) next to the arch of Constantine. It deserves to be observed.

Reopened on April 24, 2024, after renovations and refurbishments. There are now separate pedestrian lanes alongside the road. In the evening, the bridge is illuminated with rainbow colors—haha, just kidding 😅—thankfully, they're the colors of the Italian flag 🇮🇹.
