This bronze monument to Josef Jungmann, a prominent Czech linguist and writer, was unveiled in 1878. The sculpture depicts Jungmann seated with a scroll and quill, designed originally by Václav Levý and completed after his death by Ludvík Šimek, who based the work on Levý's original sketches inspired by Vatican statuary.

The ferryman comes on call. As of June 2025, the ferry was operated free of charge. The ferryman was still happy to receive a small donation.

Cycle path with fast surface parallel to the railway

Heading south out of Prague, a cycle path leads first through a park and then across a golf course. The route is easy to cycle.

The fountain is very nice, but currently (2025) the entire surroundings are under renovation, probably related to the construction of the metro

A path I definitely don't recommend. Rocky, with lots of tree roots, and very difficult for touring bikes. It's okay for mountain bikes. It's better to take the route over the mountain.

Troja Palace (Czech: Zámek Troja or Trojský zámek) is a Baroque summer palace built between 1679 and 1685 north of the Old Town of Prague in the Czech Republic. It is now located in the northern district of Troja. The property is famous for its combination of architecture, sculpture, and illusionistic ceiling paintings.
