This old washing place is absolutely worth seeing.

If you come to Cefalù, don't miss its cathedral: a true masterpiece of Arab-Norman art. The interior houses marvelous Byzantine mosaics, including the famous Christ Pantocrator. What a fantastic view from up here! (360°). A wooden sign marks the summit (Sicily's second highest!). The path is steep on all sides but always easy to walk, never really exposed; only loose rocks could pose a problem. The area was apparently quite busy in the past (ski lifts, etc.), but nature is slowly reclaiming the infrastructure...great beech "groves"!

Very nice and adventurous indeed! We had some big waves today, some parts of the path were wet and sims slippery, but doable! Not recommended for children under 8 or so. If you are not careful you will get wet shoes/pants here and there…

The washhouse features a staircase made of lava stone and lumachella that leads to a floor smoothed by time and to a series of basins that are filled with water that flows from cast iron mouths.

Walking in the historic center you can meet the fruit and vegetable seller who, with his bee full of colored boxes, shouts something to attract the attention of buyers.

Very exciting, adventurous and fascinating path over the bizarre rocks on the coast. Great combination of natural path, cleverly paved sections as well as some brick stairs and small bridges! With built-in lighting from below. Viewed from above, the path is sometimes not really visible at all or it looks quite daring. But when walking down over the rocks there are no major difficulties.
