The "Bird's Footbridge" in Martelange, Belgium, is a 150-meter-long pedestrian bridge that crosses the Sûre River and transports hikers into a fascinating natural world. Opened in 2011, the bridge is part of a project connecting the municipal building (Moulin Kuborn) and the former tannery park (Parc de la Tannerie). Long the path are informative panels that educate visitors about the various bird species. QR codes can be scanned with a smartphone to hear the birdsong.

The Mardasson Memorial is a war memorial commemorating the Battle of the Bulge and is located on Mardasson Hill, northeast of the Belgian city of Bastogne, which was the center of the battle at the time. The Mardasson Memorial was created on the initiative of the Belgian-American Association, an association that wants to honor the memory of the many young Americans who died here. The monument was inaugurated on July 16, 1950 and stands for the enduring friendship between the Belgian and American people, who fought shoulder to shoulder during the victorious battle they waged during this Ardennes offensive in December '44 - January '45 and the decisive role they played in the liberation of Bastogne. And in memory of the heroic resistance of the American soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division.
