The food was very good – and surprisingly, very reasonably priced. You can also stay overnight here – I was given room rates of €78 and €88 for two people. A lovely location – there's a beer garden in an inner courtyard. But you can also sit comfortably inside. Everything is very authentic, without the usual tourist traps. In any case, we were thrilled and can highly recommend it.

It's always nice to have breakfast here, either at the beginning of the tour or to buy everything you need at the end of the tour and then enjoy a leisurely meal on the meadow. Note: Bread is only available in summer (whenever that starts) – so shop beforehand either in Lembach or Philippsbourg!

It's not the most spectacular pass but it has been well laid out. So, you can find parking, a well-maintained shelter and picnic tables. The Litschhof forest house, which offers the accommodation, is a few steps away.
