聞け、高貴なる騎士たちよ、そしてペルヒトルスドルフの尊き城の物語を聞くがよい！この石造りの要塞は、11世紀初頭に築かれた。勇敢なるバイエルン公ハインリヒ・ツァンカーが991年に凶暴なるハンガリー人を打ち破り、ウィーン周辺およびアルプス東部を保護下に置いた後である。力強きウィーンの森の南斜面に、東方を敵から守るための砦の連なりが築かれた。この防衛線の一つが、ペルヒトルスドルフ城であった。堅固な石造りの立派な塔で、城壁、堀、そして保護的な柵に囲まれていた。この城は、高貴なるバーベンベルク家の家臣によって築かれた。その栄光は、「ベルヒトルト」という伝説的な騎士の名にも反映されている。その騎士にこの地は栄光を負っているが、古い文献には証拠がない。こうして、城は勇敢に土地とその人々を見守ってきたのである！

Remains of the walls of the so-called Johannes or pilgrimage chapel, which Prince Johann I of Liechtenstein had built in the pine forest of the Kalenderberg in 1818. Because of its somewhat unusual roof shape, this chapel was popularly known as the "Pfefferbüchsel". It was destroyed in the revolutionary year of 1848 and not rebuilt. The Pfefferbüchsel is a former chapel on the calendar mountain that was built in the 19th century by the Prince of Liechtenstein.
