Ideally located for a rest during a long hike

Great vantage point! Can be reached on foot by hiking along the Rio Duje.

A lush and diverse environment with abundant species of birds, ibex and other animals. In addition, the area is perfect for taking photos. And of course, one of the main attractions of Fuente Dé is its cable car, which ascends visitors to an altitude of around 1,823 meters. The cable car ride is spectacular and offers panoramic views.

Fuente Dé is a small, magical village. It actually has almost no houses, but rather a campsite and a parador, as well as its famous funicular railway for ascending to the Picos de Europa. Its glacial cirque, dotted with beech forests, and the source of the Deva River make it a geomorphological point of interest. The views from the village toward the vertical limestone walls of the Picos de Europa are incredible.

The vantage point at the top station of the Fuente De cable car offers a great view of the valley 750m below and the surrounding peaks and is also the starting point and/or end point of some hikes in the high altitudes of the Picos. If you want to walk up or down again, you can either choose a very short but very steep path below the cable car or take the PR-PNPE 24 "Puertos de Áliva" in a wide arc through the mountain landscape with a moderate incline or decline.

From the Invernales del Texu begins an ascent of about 750 meters of unevenness, first, by road, to Sotres and Jito de Escarandi, then by track / path to the Casetón de Andara refuge. From the Casetón de Andara begins a descent of more than 600 meters of unevenness by track / road, Vao los Lobos is reached where it connects with the Bejes track, we continue along this track, now on flatter terrain, until reaching the Dobrillo Oven (marked with a sign).
