A steep but stunning climb as the road rises up out of Castlebay and passes by the peak of Sheabhal. Be sure to look behind you as well for glorious views across the Bay.

WIth wide Atlantic views and white sand, Tangasdale Beach is a sight to behold as the road snakes past. The Isle of Barra Beach Hotel on the north eastern cliffs is the most westerly pub in the UK.

The road skirts around this sheltered bay. It affords beautiful views across the calm water and to the ferry jetty. The jetty is now defunct since the construction of the causeway.
