Sunset over Athens from Lykavitos is really beautiful. It can get very crowded. Arrive early to ensure good spots. There are some benches "halfway up" that are perfect for a picnic.

A well-maintained and easy-to-walk sandy path with stairs leads west up to the 260m summit. It's pleasant to walk in the partial shade and as you climb you can enjoy great views over the metropolis and the Acropolis.

There are many trails, both new and old ones for walking (some of them are nice to visit by bike as well), while there is also an asphalt road up to the parking lot, for visiting by motorbike or car. Near the parking lot is the theater of Lycabettus. At the top of the hill there is the chapel of Agios Georgios which can only be reached on foot and the view is magnificent.
