Near this river, you can enjoy the calm atmosphere and the gentle flow of the water. On still days, the surrounding trees and drifting clouds are beautifully reflected on the surface.

Definitely only do this tour after several rain-free days! Difficult even for experienced hikers, dangerous when wet!

We were there again in summer. Camping by the lake and in the hut was delicious. Great combination :)

This is not a DNT hut, but a hut built by Statskog - more information here www.statskog.no

Built in 2017 hut for free to stay and sleep (but without mattresses etc.) with a beautiful view! General information on many of these Norwegian huts can be found on the DNT website.
