This isn't an old reef, but rather the remains of an artificially created "grotto." There used to be water features there to enhance the grotto feel.

The property at Weyerbuschweg 1 is the single-storey park keeper's house "Haus Weyerbusch", donated to the city of Elberfeld in 1900 by the manufacturer Emil Weyerbusch. The Nützenberg Park is located in the center of the Nützenberg Forest. The creation of the park structures was started in 1874 by the Elberfeld Beautification Association. Here, at the highest point of the Nützenberg, stands the Weyerbusch Tower, built in 1898. Opposite it is the park keeper's house, Haus Weyerbusch, from the same period of construction as the tower. A playground has been created around the Weyerbusch Tower, where a summer festival is held once a year. Next to the soccer field, there is a large gravel sports field to the north of the Nützenberg Park, which is known as Kaiserhöhe. A beautiful, spacious park with a lookout tower that is unfortunately dilapidated but a nice, modern playground with a great swing. However, all views of the city are completely overgrown and urgently need to be cleared.

A beautiful observation tower, which unfortunately is only rarely opened in the year. It might also offer a great view, but I couldn't verify it. There is a small park around the tower where you could take a walk. There is also a playground and garden benches next to it. As I had learned from a gentleman, the tower supervisors used to live in the tower. Above you can see something like rooms with big windows.
