They still stand alone, but soon they will fall as the last witnesses of "their time"! They look down on the growing "youth" who they see - bare of branches and leaves - struggling for light and space at their feet. Such trees 🌳 remind us of 90 and 100 year old people, who are also often lonely witnesses of our time.
