We are early risers and most establishments don't open until 11am. That's a shame if you want to have a cup of coffee early. Furthermore, clean and fresh around the lake and toilet/shower facilities.

Here you will find a cantina, you will get a beach feeling in the summer, you can play beach volleyball and meet nice people.

The walk around the lake alone is also recommended in the cold season. Cantina even has mulled wine in winter and in summer Rainer is a cult anyway 🍹🍺

Highest warning level: Be sure to buy a parking ticket, unfortunately it's no longer as relaxed as it used to be. Despite transferring the ticket, I had to pay a fine of almost €40!!! The authorities didn't let anyone talk to them even during the Corona period, the incomprehensible "Municipal Traffic Safety Association Upper Palatinate" had no understanding whatsoever and completely ripped me off! Understandably, I will no longer enter this “local resort”.

The Guggi is a very beautiful swimming lake!
