Be careful descending in autumn. Falling leaves can make the area very slippery.

The Sint Nicolaaskerk (St. Nicholas Church) in Denekamp has a rich history. Denekamp first appears as an independent parish in the church register from 1276. The first church was small and modest. In the mid-14th century, the church was expanded on the west side, and shortly afterwards, at the beginning of the 15th century, the tower was added. The church is built of Bentheim sandstone. In 1810, the church was significantly enlarged again when it was converted into a cruciform church. More than a hundred years later, another expansion was decided upon.

Impressive from the outside and even more so from the inside!

Highly recommended for a break during a bike tour.

Nice climb up to 85 metres above NAP (asphalt cycle path).
